2 large cucumbers
1 onion
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. sugar
juice of two lemons or ¼ cup
3/4 cup water
pepper
Peel the cucumbers and slice them paper-thin. Slice the onion the same way. Combine the rest of the ingredients and add the vegetables to it. Marinate at least ½ hour before serving. This is delicious on buttered pumpernickel bread the next day.
